I had been delving into my archive recently with the help of the Agency Urbanimage, who take care of my Dancehall images. These images were taken at a London Dancehall Ragga club back in 1993. During the day this basement building was a gym, but at weekends  it was transformed into the secret location for a Ragga club. Located south of the river close to the Financial Times building, I remember it took quite a bit of research before I eventually located the venue and gained access, but when I did it proved well worth the trouble.

Billie says this fun novelty Witch jacket she is wearing is by a brand called Anatopic.

I got double value when I spotted – Suzie (without headband) and Hayley, – sporting their urban cool look, -  while we were all queuing for the cash machine. Suzie and Hayley are originally from Manchester, -  I was shooting the stylish ladies of Manchester back in August for the Grazia Style Hunter Awards – and I know how much the Mancunian girls love to mix their vintage. Both Suzie and Hayley were wearing a touch of vintage along with converse and Barbours – Suzie and Hayley independently decided the weather had a slight chance of rain, but it turned out to be a really nice day. Suzie was wearing faux leather trousers from TKMAXX, and a cutdown vintage nightdress, teamed with a black H&M jumper. A touch of class was also added by Suzie with the addition of the cool Chanel sunglasses, plus vintage diamanté necklace, and lets not forget the YSL Muse bag. Hayley was wearing Topshop fairtrade leggings, vintage headband with checked shirt, and Pepe jeans/sunglasses. Hayley finishes her look off with a vintage bag and necklace.

Erin has just finished her training at College for Performing Arts and Dance. When I saw her she was busy attending auditions – wearing a Next Jacket, Adidas bottoms, Primark trainers and teeshirt, with an American Apparel bra. I Love the colourful urban combo, with casual-jacket touch.

Kayla Jane is a writer for ‘Exclusive To Models Magazine’, and has her own clothes label called ‘Model Clothing’ – examples of which she is wearing. It was late afternoon on a Friday in London’s Docklands, as the sun was going down – leaving traces of an amazing golden light which illuminated Kaylas outfit and really made her bling sing!
