The Queens Platinum Jubilee took place to celebrate her majesty's 70 years as Sovereign. A special public holiday was declared in the UK from 2 June to the 5 of June 2022. Only three months later on September 8 Queen Elizabeth II, (the UK's longest serving monarch ) died aged 96.
