I thought Zaini was rocking a cool 80′s vibe, with her leather skirt from H&M, and freebie hat from a nightclub party. Zaini’s bag is by Fiorelli, boots, tee and scarf from Primark. The tights are from a 99p store, gloves River Island and gloves from a random store in Camden. The cardigan came from a boyfriend.
Zaini loves edgy designers like Vivienne Westwood. Her least favourite look is the current trend for floral patterns. Zaini says “you will never catch me wearing flowery clothes, or leggins – cuz they can look a bit cheap and sluttish”.

Freelance stylist Gretchen is originally from San Francisco and she told me she was 85 years old – it must be that Pacific Ocean air that keeps her looking so young! She loves London and her Britsh Pashley bike – upon which she was about to ride off into the sunset. I caught up with Gretchen outside an event held at Oxygen – a boutique run by Joanna Nicola, which is also part gallery space.
As a street photographer I live for those fleeting moments on the street – especially in a city like Paris that is so vibrant and full of style. I just love the cool way this woman was wrapped in her scarf with her jauntily worn trilby hat and boyfriend jacket with baggy harem pants – as she briefly passed me, by les Beaux-Arts de Paris on Salle Melpomeneo.
When I met Ms Stah – trapeze artist and cabaret performer – in Old Street, London, she was on the way to get her passport photo taken. Stah was wearing a hat bought from “an old lady in Berlin”, the coat is from Fornarina (Carnaby Street), the top is from TopShop and the scarf from No One (Shoreditch). The harem pants she purchased in Berlin and the boots are by Vivian Westwood.
Actor, model and occasional clothes vendor O’Neil keeps the winter at bay with this real bear skin fur coat and a wrap-around scarf from India. He originates from Liverpool but migrated to Portobello, London. I was won over by his warm character… no doubt the result of the bear he was wrapped up in!
