Patricks name can often found on ‘best dressed’ lists, and as a Savile Row tailor Patrick has revived the historic E Tautz label and is wearing a jacket from the new range. They dressed the likes of Edward VII, Winston Churchill and even Cary Grant. I sense the dry humour of Cary Grant in this photo, as Patrick gives me a cheeky peek of his stripy socks.
Super model and mum, TV presenter and Charity raiser. Jade Parfitt has it all, and looks splendid in her Poltock & Walsh dress. I wanted to get a less-crowded shot of Jade just before the Christopher Kane show. Jade very kindly agreed to pose for me standing in the road briefly, gifting me with this photo opportunity and a chance to capture her statuesque beauty.
Alexa Chung arriving for the Vivienne Westwood show, New Oxford Street. I photographed Alexa Chung earlier in the day on Luxbrough Street, at the Topshop venue. As I briefly took my shots, Alexa seemed bored and tired of being photographed and gave her ‘default look’. This is understandable to some extent, given the amount of media attention Alexa is given. So I decided to post this grab shot of her instead, which I feel says more about Alexa than the portraits I took previously, – which were totally bland and devoid of interest. I also came across Alexa at the Luella show and offered her my card, she refused and referred to me as the “Topshop photographer”. I found her comments really patronising and unnecessarily rude, and it begs me to ask the question, is this what you become when you reach celebrity status and have constant media attention?
I love Christian Louboutins shoes and they inspired me to start Shoe Zoo. I mentioned this to Christian when I snapped him arriving at Somerset House, and he said he was flattered – wow what a modest man. Christian Louboutins shoes are so sexy and stylish at the same time -, which is a hard act to pull off. Coincidently on the same day I photographed these fabulous Louboutin shoes – a perfect example of what I’m talking about.
