London – Harlequin

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

This is Pharelle, he is studying performing arts and wants to be an actor. I spotted him on his way home from college on the Portabello Road. His colourful Harlequin hoodie is by Meka, and his white tee, Duffer, with pink shorts by Zara.

The name Harlequin carries several meanings. He is traditionally a male comedic, pantomime character, but dates back to 16th century France – as the legendary leader of a troop of demon horsemen. Now there’s a strong lead for Pharelle to play.

London – Lulu – Haggerston Park

I recognised Lulu from some photos I took about 2 months ago in Hoxton. She was modelling for a fashion street shoot wearing some amazing Harem pants and as I passed I sneaked a couple of photos.

I am terrible with names- occupational hazard of being a photographer – but never forget a face. I really liked the blocking effect of the black tights against her mini white shorts.
