Carine and Julia Roitfeld, mother and daughter, shot in 2010, but never published on my blog until now. I thought it would be timely to post these photos now, as both Carine and Julia have very important projects on the go – Carine is launching a magazine simple called CR and Julia is having a baby pretty soon.

I have already posted a shot from this set of photos of Carine-so forgive me please- but this shot really struck me between the eyes. I particularly love the energy and the attitude of the shot and the way that Carine is moving towards the camera in her inimitable style and fashion.

This shot of Carine was taken just after the Miu Miu show, on the last day of Paris SS fashion week. It was not until after I had taken this shot that I realised that there were hounds printed on Carine’s wonderful silk pencil skirt. It is a bit of a cliché to say that Parisian women know how to wear black-but what a fantastic example here!

I love it when a plan comes together. It is so difficult sometimes during PFW to to spot someone as well known and as well dressed as Carine Roitfeld and shoot them with the right background, in a relaxed manner, that is befitting of her [Carine's] status in the fashion world. When it comes together, it is like a magic door suddenly opening to reveal something special, as it was on this occasion.
