Designer Georgia Nash based her collection on characters from the Nutcracker Suite. I love the dazzling  embellishment that her outfits create, along with the lush richness of the fabrics. Georgia’s outfits are both sexy and sophisticated. To be honest I was seeing a Tudor element in the clothes with the puffed-up and ruffled collar, until I discovered the Nutcracker connection, but Hey, what do I know?

I’m loving this piece of Street Couture made from PVC and metalics. Its so futuristic yet so now. Fluid, urban sports wear for the Teenies, by a young designer called Olga Shishkina.

Laura is modeling this sexy see-through creation by Beatrice K Newman. You can view Beatrice’s creations at korlekie. Beatrice says “Much of my label is inspired by “The bond woman” who is highly seductive, sensual and sexy. My collections are always quite glamorous”.

This week Spitafields in East London plays host to Alternative Fashion Week. So I p-p-p-popped down to take look and this what I saw…

Theatre design student Annabelle is in love with classic Edwardian and 1950′s era clothes. Although her favourite designer is the Australian designer Willow, who is a lot more contemporary. Annabelle says, ” I like her (Willow) interpretation of the natural world and its all very elegant”. Annabelle is wearing a 1950′s skirt, which was originally made for a theatre production and Annabelle modified from a dress. It  was given to Annabelle by a friend of her mother. The elegant jacket is circa 1910, the heels are from ASOS. That’s what I call getting good wear out of clothes.

‘British Dandy’ Ross says, “Dandyism for me is about how you put a twist on clothes – its not about what you wear, its how you wear it.”

Sarah was on the way for a job interview, when I noticed her combination of Zara men’s cardi, H&M men’s shirt, Uniqlo jeans and Zara desert boots, accessorized with some nice jewellery and vintage belt . Sarah had originally studied English at university, has tried a bit of modelling, but now decided to go the other side of camera and study fashion photography. That’s what I call well grounded and I wish her all the luck in the world.
